Tap into the power of AI to help you fill in details about your listings with AI Suggestions (powered by OpenAI). Just fill in a descript title and use AI Suggestions to suggest category, description, weight, dimensions, and replacement cost.
This article is helpful if:
You are posting something on the platform.
You want to edit listings missing a description and/or weight and replacement cost data.
You are an admin and would like to backfill missing data from your organization's listings.

When editing a draft listing
When editing active listings or exchanged listings
Use AI Suggestions when creating a single listing or editing a draft
Fill out a descriptive title while creating a single listing or editing a draft listing. The best suggestions will come from a descriptive title that includes the manufacturer and model.
Click Generate under the Suggestions callout. Give it a few seconds to work its magic (it can take up to 10 seconds or more).
Fields like description, weight, and replacement cost will be automatically populated and marked with sparkles (✨) for your review.
You can overwrite any of the suggestions by editing the title field.

Use AI Suggestions on active or exchanged listings
Backfill missing data in bulk using AI Suggestions for up to 120 listings at a time:
In the left-hand toolbar, navigate to Selling > Listings to see your active listings.
If you wish to backfill the data on listings that have already been exchanged, you can click the "None available" tab and follow the same instructions below.
Select the checkboxes on the left of each listing you want suggestions for.
Click the sparkles icon ✨ in the menu above, and wait for the magic to happen! (this could take several minutes based on how many listings you have selected).
Note: we will not overwrite any filled fields. AI Suggestions only works on blank fields.
You will have an opportunity to review the Suggestions before finalizing your edits. All fields highlighted in purple indicate that a Suggestion has been applied.
Feel free to make your desired edits. Once you are satisfied with the data, click Update.
Note: This feature is a great way for Admins to backfill listings data and ensure your organization has the most complete impact metrics.
What happens if there's a limit error or no results are found?
Please note that this feature is still in beta, and there may be limitations to the suggestions that the AI can provide. In the case of a limit error, you will receive a message that the feature is still in beta. If there are no results found for your title, you will be prompted to re-enter the title.

We collect and store OpenAI responses to help us understand how our users use the feature and identify areas for improvement.
