What are AI-powered Suggestions?
AI-powered Suggestions is a feature that leverages OpenAI APIs to suggest data to fill in about your listing based on the title. Suggestions help you create listings faster by automatically populating an item’s description, weight, and replacement cost solely based on the title. These metrics inform your impact data, including weight diverted from landfill and kgs of CO2e avoided.

You are an admin and would like to backfill missing data in your organization's active listings and exchanged listings.

How does it work?
Creating a single listing or editing a draft listing:
Fill out a descriptive title while creating a single listing or editing a draft listing. The best suggestions will come from a descriptive title that includes Manufacturer and Model no.
Click Generate under the Suggestions callout. Give it a few seconds to work its magic (it can sometimes take up to 10 seconds or more to generate suggestions).
Fields like description, weight, and replacement cost will be automatically populated and marked with sparkles (✨) for your review.
You can overwrite any of the suggestions by editing the title field.

Note: to generate new suggestions, simply edit the title and try again. Use manufacturer and model no. for the best results.
Applying suggestions to active or exchanged listings:
You can backfill missing data in bulk using the Suggestions feature for up to 120 listings at a time. Suggestions can write a description and estimate weight and replacement cost based on the listing title.
In the left hand toolbar, navigate to Selling > Listings to see your active listings. If you wish to backfill the data on listings that have already been exchanged, you can click the "None available" tab and follow the same instructions below.
Looking at the listings, you can select the checkboxes on the left of each listing you want to edit.
Click the sparkle icon in the menu above, and wait for the magic to happen!
It will bring you to a multi-edit view so that you can review the Suggestions before finalizing your edits. All fields highlighted in purple indicate that a Suggestion has been applied. The tool will default to user-input values and text, only offering a Suggestion for blank fields.
Feel free to make your desired edits. Once you are satisfied with the data, click Update.
Note: This feature is a great way for users with Admin priviledges to backfill listings data and ensure you have the most complete impact data.
What happens if there's a limit error or no results are found?
Please note that this feature is still in beta, and there may be limitations to the suggestions that the AI can provide. In the case of a limit error, you will receive a message that the feature is still in beta. If there are no results found for your title, you will be prompted to re-enter the title.
How is usage data collected?
To continuously improve our AI-powered suggestions feature, we collect OpenAI API and usage data. This helps us understand how our users are using the feature and identify areas for improvement.
