Understanding user roles and permissions on Rheaply ensures you have the right access to perform actions within Circulate and Inventory (Visibility). Each role is designed to help manage listings, inventory, and organizational settings efficiently.


Circulate roles & permissions

  • Standard user – Shop from listings available in Circulate.

  • Listing manager – Create and manage listings (internal and/or external, depending on organization settings).

  • Admin – Manage users, listings, and access reports.

  • Organization manager – Edit the public-facing organization profile (accessible under Admin > Organization).

Inventory roles & permissions

  • Viewer – View inventory and saved searches. Cannot create or edit items.

  • Creator – Create, view, edit, delete, and restore their own items but cannot edit others' items.

  • Editor – Create, view, edit, delete, and restore their own items. Can also edit the location, item manager, and status of others' items.

  • Admin – Full control over all items, users, and reports within their assigned inventory.

  • Global admin – Full control over all items, users, and reports across the entire organization.
